We present a patient with lentigo maligna of the labial mucosa who underwent reconstruction using this technique. The result was excellent and there was no postoperative complications. The transverse twist flap is a useful and effective option for the reconstruction of lip defects after excision of lentigo maligna. Published 5 April 2007 in J Dermatol, 34(5): 333-5.
